Kimberly Garner is the founder and managing attorney of Garner Law. Kim specializes in estate planning, as well as trust and probate litigation. Kim’s practice includes drafting estate plans, trust administration, trust litigation and general resolution of trust disputes between families. She brings her experience from a wide array of civil litigation matters to this practice area. She has practiced in both state and federal courts.
Kim has been annually recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Northern California since 2015, a distinction which recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. She has also received awards from the Sacramento Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" and has been included on Sacramento Magazine's Top Lawyers list multiple times.
Kim received her B.A. with Honors in Sociology from University of California at Berkeley and her J.D. from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. As a Sacramento native, she is actively involved in the community including service as a Brownie Troop Leader with Girl Scouts Heart of Central California and chairs various volunteer roles for her children's schools and recreational soccer clubs. Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors for the San Juan Education Foundation. She is a Past President of Women Lawyers of Sacramento and also Past President of the McGeorge School of Law Alumni Association. Kim also previously served as the Co-Editor of the Sacramento County Bar Association's magazine, Sacramento Lawyer.
